FROM THE EAST

Brethren,

We have corrected the problem with the post office and you will be receiving your communication every month.

On February 18th, our Senior Warden Brother Ray Vance will be putting on a Fellowcraft Degree for three brothers. We also have two petitions to receive and two more undergoing investigation. Our Junior Warden, Scott Mitchell, will be preparing as Master for an EA degree in late March for the possible four new candidates. With 7 new Master Masons and more to come by year's end, it's becoming evident that Pearl of the West is the place to be.

I would again like to thank all the brothers who take the time to assist with funeral services.

FROM THE WEST

Brethren,

We have had a productive month. The affiliate organizations have reported that they are pleased with the reduction in their rents.

Our new line of officers are coming along in their new positions and we will be having a Fellowcraft degree on the 18th with an Entered Apprentice degree to follow in March.

We will be having a finance meeting on the 1st of February with Raymond James. We will report back to you on how things are going.

The locks to the lodge have been re-keyed. Any one needing a key should see me.

Don't forget the brunch on Saturday the 23rd. Scott will tell you all about it. Lets come out and support him and his efforts.

Looks like we are off to a great start! There are many changes occurring within the Lodge which have already set the stage for a fun and exciting year. One of those changes is that we will now have a brunch on the last Saturday of each month. The first one will take place on February 23^rd beginning at 09:30 am. Come out and support your Lodge!

FROM OUR CHAPLAIN

Brothers,

I would like to congratulate all of the New Officers elected and appointed for the year 2008, for accepting these most important positions, and know that Pearl of the West Lodge will continue the great work that was accomplished on 2007.

A great big "Thank You" to all who stepped forward to help with all of our funerals, making a very serious presentation, VERY meaningful to the families of our fallen Brothers.

We have already had one funeral in 2008, and have another scheduled for early February. Details will be forthcoming as soon as available. Please say "YES" when Bro. Ken Gray calls for help with all of the funerals - and on that note, we all need to give Ken our thanks for notifying all the members. A GREAT job, Ken, and most appreciated.

Please continue to support this very necessary part of our Masonic Brotherly Love and Friendship, so that our departed Brothers Families can begin the sad duty of closure for a loved one.
